Matt Cotoia

Benefits Analyst

Matt Cotoia is one of the newest additions to the BBP team. Matt joined BBP in May 2022 after graduating from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. While at UMass, Matt excelled in his academic work majoring in Applied Mathematics and completing a double minor in Economics and Business. Matt was a member of the Alpha Lamda Delta Honor Society, received two Army Achievement Medals in 2020 and 2021, and was included on the Commandant’s List as recognition of his academic commitment. Matt also participated in UMass academic clubs relating to his coursework.

During college, Matt worked at State Street Corporation as an intern in their Global Delivery Program. He reviewed pricing sources and studied global assets using Bloomberg. Matt also continues to serve in the Massachusetts Army National Guard as a Human Resources specialist.

In his role at BBP, Matt works as a Benefits Analyst assigned to several client teams. His responsibilities include claims data reporting and analysis, taking an active role in regular client calls, drafting required documents for compliance purposes, and supporting all client initiatives. We can’t wait to see what internal BBP and Alera committees Matt will join in the near future. We expect it will be numbers and math related!

Matt is a busy person, but in his free time, he likes exploring Boston and finding new places to eat. He also enjoys traveling, most recently to Greece, and spending his summers jet skiing on his grandparents’ lake house in Maine.
