Alyssa joined BBP in June 2020 as a Benefits Analyst. A recent graduate of the University of Rhode Island (URI), she exceled in both the Finance (major) and Textile Merchandising and Design (minor) programs. While at URI, she mentored a group of first-year students, guiding them on the keys to success in the College of Business. Alyssa notes that consistent in-person and emailed communication was essential in creating lasting relationships.
During college, Alyssa also completed two relevant internship experiences. Most recently, Alyssa worked as a research intern, sourcing candidates in executive recruiting. Prior to that, she served as a corporate finance intern at a well-known private investment firm. There Alyssa prepared balance sheet account reconciliations, assisted with providing documents for internal and external audits, and observed the year-end cash close process.
Alyssa works with a variety of BBP clients in different industries. Alyssa’s responsibilities include taking part in regular client calls/meetings, preparing renewal requests, and drafting Requests for Proposals. Additionally, she is part of the Client Summit Committee, working with the team to plan and prepare for quarterly events. Alyssa also has worked diligently researching diversity, equity, and inclusion and the role that it can play in clients’ benefit programs. She enjoys staying up to date with trends in the employee benefits industry.
Outside of work, Alyssa loves spending time with her family and friends. Anything they do together is sure to be a good time. Warm summer weather is a favorite of Alyssa’s; she takes any chance she can get to be on a beach or by a lake.
