Kathryn H. Tolan, Partner
Kathryn, a founding partner of Boston Benefit Partners, LLC (BBP), has broad employee benefits consulting experience, working on a number of health, dental, life, disability and vision plans for both private and public sector clients.
Her experience includes: managing projects for several large clients in the financial services sector, including Boston Financial Data Services, Inc.; assisting in the vision and dental procurement process, including plan design, cost and funding considerations for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission (GIC); developing comparison studies and new benefit strategies for clients creating new joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and spin-off situations; creating the first dental re-enrollment analysis survey for the Massachusetts Public Employees Fund, including questionnaire design, distribution, and oversight of the tabulation process and final analysis of the results; development of innovative employee benefit plans for large multi-state employers such as Palisades Associates, Inc. and Affiliates and Richey Electronics, Inc.; and establishing a cross-functional team to create, distribute and analyze a quality of care survey for participants in a large regional HMO.
Kathryn began her professional career with MetLife, completing an extensive training program in large group employee benefits, and then became a consultant for Noble Lowndes, an international benefit consulting firm headquartered in London. Later, she joined a regional consulting firm in Boston, Massachusetts as a managing consultant and was responsible for several large accounts including Staples, Inc. and Perot Systems.
Kathryn graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Science degree. She also received a certificate in the study of Evidence Based Dentistry from the Department of Continuing Education at the University of Oxford in England.
Kathryn resides in Belmont, Massachusetts with her husband, three children, and a 'fresh' golden retriever.
