Carol co-founded Boston Benefit Partners, LLC with Piper McNealy, and Kathryn Tolan.  As a former stop-loss Underwriting Manager for Safeco Insurance and Managing Consultant for a large international benefit actuarial and consulting firm, Carol believed there was opportunity in the industry for a team-based employee benefit consulting firm committed to service, top level expertise and data-driven solutions, and founded BBP based on those principles.

Today, BBP is recognized as a leader in the employee benefits field. We are excited to be the 100th acquisition of Alera Group, the seventh-largest privately held employee benefits firm in the United States.

Carol would say that the success of the firm is 100% attributable to the expertise and dedication of the amazing people who work at BBP.  “Any firm can have expertise, but not all firms can create cohesive teams that continually raise the bar and exceed expectations each and every day.”

In addition to working with clients, Carol serves on the Advisory Board of Rosie’s Place and co-chairs the “Funny Women…Serious Business” fundraiser.  She graduated with a BA from the University of Northern Colorado and is a member of the New England Employee Benefits Council and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits. In addition, Carol has provided extensive education, training and consulting services to several large technology organizations, manufacturing entities and public sector unions.

When Carol isn’t working, she is either cooking for family and friends at her home in Kennebunk, Maine, playing golf, walking the beach with Maggie (beloved Golden Retriever), or traveling with her husband, Tony, who keeps her laughing.
