Carol, a founding partner of Boston Benefit Partners, LLC (BBP), has many years of employee benefit experience and a proven track record for creating cost effective benefit programs for numerous domestic and international companies and a multiple of labor organizations.
In addition to her management responsibilities, Carol has direct consulting responsibility for a number of clients, specializing in health insurance and the rising cost of medical care. During her career, she has provided consulting advice to a wide variety of organizations, including: BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc., Patni Americas, Inc., MAPFRE U.S.A., Empire Kosher Poultry, LoJack Corporation, Perot Systems Corporation, Boston Financial Data Services, Inc., and Delaware North Corporation. In the labor union arena, she has provided technical expertise and education to members of the Massachusetts Teachers Association and Boston Police and Patrolman's Association, and consults to both the Plumbers and Gasfitters Local 12 Health and Welfare Fund and the Teamsters Local 170 Health and Welfare Fund.
Carol began her career as an underwriter for SAFECO Insurance Company in Seattle, Washington and progressed into management with Safeco and later, R.E. Moulton, a large Managing General Underwriter (MGU). In addition to her underwriting responsibilities, she was responsible for establishing reinsurance pools, contract review, large claim analysis and underwriting training. Following her underwriting career, she was head of the Boston office for Noble Lowndes, a large international benefit consulting firm headquartered in London.
One of Carol's greatest joys is working with her colleagues and clients at BBP. She is very proud of the team of consultants serving BBP clients every day, as well as the unique culture that has been created at the firm.
Carol earned a Bachelor of Arts and special education teaching certificate from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Licensed Insurance Advisor and broker with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She lives in Newton, MA and spends her spare time tutoring, biking, cooking and traveling. In addition, she is an active fundraiser for Rosie's Place and co-chairs the Rosie's Place "Funny Women… Serious Business" luncheon every year.
