Alice Lam, Consultant
As a consultant, Alice is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, the annual consulting calendar for several key accounts, and for managing all agent/broker licensing. In addition, she manages the Request for Proposal process and completes monthly claim reports and other ad-hoc or client-requested financial analyses. Well versed in all employee benefit programs, Alice is adept at preparing and presenting annual renewal reports, developing financial spreadsheets, preparing marketing and benchmarking reports, and attends carrier interviews and quarterly meetings. She also assists with plan implementation, researches legal, legislative, administrative, and financial issues in response to client inquiries, reviews all contract documents for accuracy, and communicates required edits and changes to vendors.
Alice has worked as a consultant for a wide variety of industries within the BBP client portfolio, including Palisades Associates, Inc. and Affiliates, Boston Private Bank & Trust, Egenera, Inc., LifeLinks, Inc., and Boston Financial Data Services, Inc.
After attending Simmons College, Alice began her professional career in the claims operations department at Tufts Health Plan. She joined BBP in 2000 as an analyst, and was promoted to consultant in 2005. In addition to her consulting responsibilities, she is considered a tenured member of BBP and participates in the web-development and marketing team.
